Heat exchangers

Heat exchangers and their spare parts
A heat exchanger is a piece of equipment in which heat is transferred from one medium to another. A heat exchanger can be used to exchange heat between a liquid and a gas, a gas and a gas, a liquid and a liquid et cetera. Examples of heat exchangers include the small heat exchanger under a PC’s fan, the radiator of a car and the condenser of a refrigerator. Large-sized engines (normally diesel engines) are used in ships for propulsion and electricity generation. These large engines consist of different systems, such as water, lube oil, fuel oil, starting air systems et cetera. Different types of heat exchangers play important roles for controlling the temperatures of these different systems.
